The Brief

DDG wanted to maximise their major coup of securing a major listing within the UK and chose TheSHOPPER.agency to support their entry into the market via Bestway wholesale to drive mass-market access.

We recommended implanting a team of expertly trained Brand Ambassadors into the top 70% of their store footprint.

Once the Brand Ambassadors were recruited trained, and issued their promotional stands, materials and key brand messaging, the BAs were primed to promote and upsell DDG’s range of SKUs and offers, capture customer data and competitor information.

The Solution

We oversaw the comprehensive training of the Brand Ambassadors, who were deployed in-store on the four highest footfall days, across a whole trading period. Their branded uniforms and impactful POS stands achieved stand-out whilst they actively educated store managers on the product USPs.

Daily feedback was logged, with images and recommendations, allowing our client to monitor sentiment in-flight and establish what was resonating in the market.

The BAs also consciously out-witted the competition’s in-store and promotional tactics by establishing strong relationships with the retailer at local level, facing-up shelves and maintaining stock levels.

The Result

During the launch, they engaged directly with more than 600 independent retailers. 

Our team exceeded DDG’s sales targets by a significant margin. 

Aside from the invaluable actionable data-capture from the field, they also distributed over 2,500 samples, and thousands of flyers and POS tent-cards
