Disrupt shoppers whilst leveraging the familiarity of the World’s biggest brand
The Brief
Coca Cola wanted to raise awareness about the launch of a Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken pop-up* restaurant in Zurich. The programme needed to be repeatable and templated so that new store opening support could follow the franchise around Europe.
Our involvement was to be from the outset, requiring us to manage the ideation, planning and fulfilment of the campaign and produce post campaign analysis to drive future decision making.
The Solution
After evaluating the potential touchpoints to drive high levels of awareness combined with the largest possible reach within a limited budget, coupled with experiential sampling, we recommended the use of out of home to disrupt the shopper journey, opting for digital 6-Sheet creative to showcase Popeye’s famous Chicken Sandwich and Coca Cola products.
The 10 sec digital ad was displayed at Zürich’s Oerlikon railway station drove awareness amongst a wide range of potential customers. The ad was broadcast over ten days and drove hundreds of new customers into the trial outlet.
The Result
The campaign achieved Coca Cola’s main objectives. The ePanel advertisement generated in excess of 1.6m impressions. Coca Cola were delighted with the results of this campaign, for which we negotiated a very keen rate due to the challenging market conditions at the time.
Templated rollouts into further markets are to follow, in a series of high profile PR events as the effects of lockdown ease throughout Europe.
